Baptism at North Church
If you are interested in having your child baptized you must attend a service of
worship at North Church and speak with the pastor.
The Sacrament of Baptism takes place in the context of Sunday morning worship.
The members of North Church take seriously the commitment, which they make, as do parents, in the liturgy of the sacrament that they will assist in the raising of a child in the Christian faith. To that end, parents requesting Baptism for a child will be counseled that it is important to be involved in a faith community. That community may not be North Church, but some assurance that there is an intention to provide a child with a church family is important.
Youth who have not been baptized generally receive the sacrament at the time of their Confirmation. Adults who have not been baptized generally receive the sacrament as they join in covenant membership.
