September through May Church School classes are held at the Parish House on Spinney Road each Sunday for children ages 3 - 14. Classes begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude with a children's chapel service at 11:15 a.m. Seasons of the Spirit, an intergenerational lectionary-based curriculum, is used and incorporates "hands-on" lessons to teach basic Bible values, worship and mission. Summer (July
8 – August 26) All Children entering
Preschool School through Sixth Grades & Friends, “Take A Walk in Jesus’ Shoes”
Summer Sunday Church School Fun, 9-10:15AM, Spinney Road. Summer Sunday Church
School Fun puts children into Bible Stories through worship, creating art,
dramatic play, making music, cooking and playing games. Children begin their
morning in Chapel at 9AM, and leave early in the service to “Take a Walk in
Jesus’ Shoes”. Parents are asked to pick children up at 10:15. Each week is an
independent lesson, so families should feel comfortable coming as often as
summer schedules allow. Every Sunday, children are encouraged and welcome to
bring friends! Confirmation Class is offered to high school students who are encouraged to take the class, facilitated by the pastor, during their freshman year, but it is made available to all high school students. The class meets, primarily on Sunday evenings, January through mid-May. The basic curriculum is Affirming Faith. Intergenerational Activities - Fellowship is important to the people of North Church! A wide variety of intergenerational activities are planned throughout the year, approximately one per month. It's a great way to get to know new people and connect with old friends. New Member Education - Persons interested in covenant membership in North Church are invited to share time with the Deacons to learn about this particular church and the United Church of Christ. We also hope people will get to know each other and some of the current membership in an friendly atmosphere that encourages faith sharing. Summer Camps - We are very proud of our two summer camps offered through the NH Conference, UCC. Horton Center, located on Pine Mountain in Gorham, NH is a hiking camp and offers family camping opportunities and unit camping for children in grades 3 - 12. Geneva Point Center is a lakeshore camp, located on Lake Winnipesaukee near Center Harbor, NH. This facility is ideal for younger campers and their families. Additional retreat opportunities are available during the summer months on Star Island, located off the coast of Maine and NH. "Wee Worshipers" Nursery Care - A "Wee Worshipers" program is available each Sunday morning from 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. for children from birth through age 2. Bible stories, music, crafts, snacks, and playtime is offered each Sunday. Children are encouraged to participate to the best of their ability.
