Opportunities

  • North Church supports and serves two meals at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, second Mondays and third Thursdays. New volunteers are always welcome. Minimum age is 16 years.
  • North Church provides food for Salvation Army Thanksgiving Baskets.
  • North Church supports the Seacoast Family Food Pantry with supplies of food and personal items as well as financial contributions. Volunteers are always needed at SFFP.
  • North Church supports Seafarer’s Friend with clothing and monetary donations.
  • Each Christmas North Church members provide gifts for needy families in Portsmouth Schools, individuals in nursing homes and other organizations.
  • North Church children participate each year in Rogers Mission, a children to children mission established in1817. Heifer International is often the recipient of the children’s efforts.
  • Members of North Church are involved in Habitat for Humanity.
  • North Church provides space for an AA meeting and an OEA meeting weekly.
  • Opportunities to serve arise often and North Church members find ways to participate.
  • Members of North Church are encouraged to bring new ideas for service to the Mission Board because there is always another way to serve.
