The North Church of Portsmouth Market Square Sanctuary is a popular wedding venue and we are happy to consider your request to be married here. Member weddings will always take precedence over non-member weddings. The North Church Pastor does not do offsite weddings for non-members.
It is important to understand that we believe wedding ceremonies to be sacred religious services of worship in the Protestant Christian tradition. It is also our policy to require appropriate premarital counseling; therefore wedding requests should be made a minimum of three months prior to the wedding date.
With the offices located at our Parish House on Spinney Road, the Market Square Sanctuary is not regularly staffed. If you’re interested in viewing the inside space, please join us on select Sundays when we worship downtown or take the Market Square Sanctuary Virtual Tour.
