Baptism is a sacred service of blessing, “a sacrament,” that welcomes a person into the Christian family of faith and confirms them in their Christian name and identity. It is often held for infants and young children, but is also open to people of any age who have not previously been baptized. Our practice is to conduct baptismal services during our regular Sunday morning worship when our “family of faith” is gathered.
As representatives of the “worldwide body of believers,” our Congregation rejoices in witnessing this sacrament and in pledging their love, support and care for the one being baptized and their family members. If you would like to schedule a baptismal service, please call our church office to reserve a date and arrange a conversation with our Minister. Church office phone: 603-436-9109
The Sacrament of Holy Communion, also known as The Lord’s Supper, or Eucharist, takes place on the first Sunday of each month. Loaves of bread (gluten-free option is available) and cups of grape juice are consecrated through reciting the words of Christ and served by the Deacons to all present.
We welcome to the Table all “who wish to know the presence of Christ and to share in the community of God’s people.” (UCC Book of Worship). Children, at the discretion of their parents, are also welcome to take part. On special occasions, Holy Communion is served by the ancient practice of intinction when persons are invited to approach the Table, take bread and dip it into the Cup.
We worship both in the sanctuary at Market Square as well as the chapel at our Parish House. Please check the calendar to confirm the location for the worship date you are looking for.
