Welcome to North Church!

Here at North Church, we believe that God loves everyone - and we really mean everyone. There is nothing you could do, nothing you could be or believe, that would take you away from the love of God. That belief is at the heart of who we are as a church.

Every week in worship, we remind ourselves of that truth by lifting up this phrase: No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey: You are welcome here.

We are an Open & Affirming Church - that means that you and your particular walk of life, with whatever gender, sexuality, race, creed, background or belief you hold, are always welcome to the full life of the church. There are no tests to pass, no dues to pay, no riddles to solve - you can come just as you are. You are more than enough.

Our congregation is over 350 years old. Over the years we've learned a lot about church and faith and God's love. Therefore, our beliefs and practices have changed, our ways of living together and hearing God's word have shifted to meet the needs of our world, but one thing remains the same: we believe we are better together than we are apart. And we'd love for you to join us as we seek to share God's love with all those who need it.

So, friend, you are welcome here. You are welcome at Bible study, at Sunday School, at Theology on Tap, and in the choir. You are welcome at our potluck suppers, at book group, in the handbell choir and on Meatball Mondays. You are welcome, always, on Sundays for worship. I hope to see you there soon!
