Introducing Dan Lorenz

These last few weeks, you may have noticed a new face helping to stream the worship service, checking microphones, and preparing the space for worship. Dan Lorenz has recently joined our staff as our new Media and Events Coordinator. This part-time role covers streaming for worship on Sunday mornings, relationship-building with community groups and promoting North Church as a music and events space.

The goal of Dan’s work is to help bring the community into our building, to share our space, our extravagant welcome and our inclusive mission. Our building stands in the middle of downtown Portsmouth, and it is a beacon across our city. What a gift it is to be able to offer this space to those seeking to share their art, their gifts, their treasure with the world. Dan’s presence is already helping to streamline our Sunday morning preparation, and he is already at work developing relationships with vendors, media and music organizations and more.

Dan Lorenz is a music educator at Timberlane Regional Middle and High School in Plaistow, NH, directing Guitar Ensemble and Modern Band in addition to assisting the grades 6-12 Orchestra program and teaches guitar privately through the Seacoast Academy of Music in North Hampton, NH.

As a teacher, Dan prioritizes connection and collaboration in the classroom in the pursuit of meaningful learning opportunities, and believes they are integral for building community as well. He is thrilled to serve his community as the Media & Events Coordinator at North Church with this mission in mind to help foster a place of engagement and experiences!
