Events and Media Coordinator

North Church is seeking an Events and Media Coordinator to support community engagement, worship services, and special events from December 15 through June 15.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for all outside events hosted at the Church, coordinates event logistics and scheduling, and supports the technical and media needs of the Church.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as point of contact for all outside events hosted at North Church

  • Community engagement through social media and direct outreach

  • Assisting with technology needs during Sunday services

  • Creating an events/building use calendar and updating said calendar when events are requested through Church website

  • Fielding event applications and acting as primary point of contact for guest artists

  • Assigning volunteers to each event for doors/setup and breakdown

  • Reaching out to community musicians/music organizations to host recitals and concerts in the sanctuary

  • Upkeeping Instagram and Facebook and updating about special music and events

  • Delegating event advertising materials and/or strategies

  • Coordinating assessment of sound and lighting needs in the sanctuary

  • Advising staff on possible budgetary needs or resolutions (e.g., equipment upkeep/upgrades, special needs for events, fundraising/donor opportunities, ticketed event pricing, event hosting fees)

  • Running/delegating sound needs for events Live-streaming church services

This position is compensated at $23 per hour for up to five hours per week, with an estimated maximum total compensation of $2,760 for the term of the position.

Nursery Teachers

The Nursery Teachers at North Church are called to lovingly care for the well-being of young children, communicate well with families and volunteers, create a nurturing environment and keep the space running smoothly. Reliability and punctuality are very important, as well as an ability to be flexible and creative with the weekly lessons. You will be given a simple curriculum to follow, along with supplies to decorate the nursery and make it your own. The Nursery Teacher leads an age-appropriate Sunday School lesson each week, and encourages volunteers to use their creativity in the nursery as well.

  • 9:30-11:30 a.m. each Sunday during the school year.

  • 4:30-6:30 p.m. service on Christmas eve. (Time and a half)

Compensation

  • Job Type: Part-time

  • Pay: $75/week

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to submit and pass a background check.

  • Must be a high school graduate.

Preferences

  • CPR Certified, or willing to become certified

  • Demonstrated experience working with children
